Dr. David Jahn, Of Counsel, is an expert in Copyright & Media Law, including Press and Personal Rights, as well as in IT Law and Data Protection Law. His expertise extends to commercial and e-commerce law. Dr. David Jahn is a certified data protection officer (TÜV)

Dr. David Jahn is the author of various publications, including the co-author of the legal manual, Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things (C.H. Beck). He lectures regularly, especially on topics covering media law. He is the managing director of the Bayreuther Arbeitskreises für Informationstechnologie – Neue Medien – Recht e.V. (@kit) and is jointly responsible for the content of the annual @kit Congress. He is also a member of the "Permanent Authors" of the media law journal "Kommunikation & Recht" (K&R) published by Deutscher Fachverlag.

  • Advising companies from the construction industry on digitalization / Industry 4.0. projects;
  • Representation of Deezer in court proceedings against the collection society for live event organizers (GWVR);
  • Representation of 1&1 Mail & Media at the German copyright tribunal in arbitration against the collection society VG Media in disputes over press publisher rights;
  • Advice on copyright law for the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL).
